ipad2_white_handGroupon, the online couponing site, just announced the launch of a proprietary point of sale system designed to operate on the iPad.  The system, called Breadcrumb, is designed to be a low-cost alternative to other systems and offers 24/7 customer support.  The system is designed to operate on only one iPad, making it a great alternative for smaller businesses.  However, it can be customized to operate on multiple iPads.  The iPads can be purchased directly from Breadcrumb, or it can be installed on existing iPads.  The system costs as little as $99/month, and Groupon expects it will be a major competitor in the point of sale industry.  For more information, check out Groupon's blog.
