As we examine all the different mobile point of sale solutions on the market, we have presented Square along with Intuit's mobile POS solution and a newer entry: Flint.  I have noticed an increasing number of small POS terminals and mobile platforms in my own shopping experiences lately.  These smaller, lost-cost POS solutions are really taking off.

Speaking of Square, the company is debuting a new package deal for businesses looking to get the most bang for their bucks.  The package - which includes two Square readers, an iPad stand, a cash drawer, and an optional receipt printer - is called "Business in a Box."  They left out one minor detail... it doesn't include the actual iPad. But, it's clever marketing, especially for the small business owner who is new to this type of technology and wants everything laid out in a simple, easy to understand format.

The Business in a Box package runs for $299 without the optional receipt printer and $599 with the receipt printer included.

What do you think?  Is this a good deal?  For more info on Business in a Box, click here.
