The new HP ap5000 point-of-sale hardware will provide retailers with a cost-effective, space-saving terminal for merchants.
In addition, HP has partnered their POS TouchSmart hardware with Escalate Retail to create a terminal that can be used by customers as an in-store kiosk. With touch-enabled functionality and a compact design, the HP ap5000 terminals contain several convenient features to make them user-friendly including a magnetic stripe reader and two customer display options. To further improve the retail work environment, the hardware is self-contained which eliminates tangled cords and constricted workspace. The TouchSmart terminals will provide customers with the opportunity to browse information about products while in the store.
