Radiant Systems, a global POS provider, has launched a new alternative with RBS WorldPay to protect cardholder data at the point of sale.

Token replacement is a way to supplement a unique identifier with a cardholder’s personal information to display an isolated transaction without storing confidential data in the point of sale system. The program is being used primarily with Aloha POS systems and is giving businesses the opportunity to make faster transactions with potential for more profit. The token replacement strategy is also serving as a fiscal-friendly alternative with no transaction fees while still complying with PCI standards.
