Today marks the kick-off of the National Retail Federation's 101st Annual Convention and EXPO, one of retail's largest trade-shows and conventions. The NRF 2012 Convention is taking place in New York City at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, and runs until Wednesday, January 18th.The 2012 NRF Show will bring together innovative retailers from around the world, over 22,000 retail professionals, and 420 exhibiting companies, with 82 countries being represented.
Themes covered at this year's NRF Convention include digital and mobile retailing, as well as trends in the economy and consumer spending. With significant progress in areas like mobile technology, NFC, and RFID, the evolution of the retail store as a result of these technologies will also be a big theme. The 2012 NRF Show is also putting an emphasis on retail's role in economic growth, by giving attendees opportunities to engage with NRF's Retail Means Jobs campaign.
NRF's digital division, Shop.org will also host its debut First Look Track with educational opportunities on e-commerce trends, social commerce and social media, and the newly-evolved “tablet shopper.”NRF's Super Sessions this year include:

CAP Retail (booth #3330) will debut a new bundle available through ScanSource to the channel, which will simplify reseller's efforts in putting together retail POS solutions. It includes the Pioneer S-Line all-in-one touch screen with built-in Epson printer, plus CAP's SellWise retail point of sale software, with embedded Mercury Payment Systems processing software.

ZF Electronics' will be showcasing CHERRY branded point of sale keyboards and computer input devices at booth #1139 . Factory experts will be on hand to demonstrate popular CHERRY tools, showing how easy it is to program macros and hotkeys on Cherry POS keyboards. They are also offering a survey with a chance to win daily prize drawings, including a $100 gift card.
Retail Anywhere will be showcasing their Multi-Channel Retail Management Suite, and sharing information about the tools and insights retailers need to optimize operations and improve profitability while delivering an enhanced customer experience across all channels.
