Cannabis Consumers Can Now Pre-order & Pick-up Products at Grasshopper Kiosks
AKLAND, Calif., Sept. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Grasshopper Kiosks (grasshopperkiosks.com), announced the launch of its new self-service Grasshopper Locker designed for the legal cannabis industry. The system allows customers to pre-order their products, and conveniently retrieve merchandise from a self-service storage system. The Grasshopper Locker can be located inside of licensed dispensaries, allowing customers to “skip the line” and obtain their products quickly and easily.
The Grasshopper Locker can improve customer transaction times and allows dispensaries to sell more products in less time, providing retailers with a unique consumer differentiation and a point of distinction in the increasingly competitive regulated cannabis industry.
Dispensaries that feature a Grasshopper Locker can direct customers to their website where they can select their desired products and mark the items for pick-up at the locker. The customer will receive a secure code that is entered on the Locker touch screen, which then unlocks access to their merchandise. The system is easy to integrate into a dispensary’s point of sale system, and is fully compliant with state reporting regulations.
The Grasshopper Locker was purposefully designed to work in accordance with the complex regulations in the largest legal cannabis markets in the world. The Grasshopper Locker provides secure product storage, and compliant, automated inventory and payment tracking designed to streamline transaction times while collecting real-time data about inventory and sales trends.
The Grasshopper Locker can hold up to 36 different multi-item orders at any one time and features a compact footprint of under six square feet, allowing it to be located anywhere a compliant operator has established secure, restricted access to clients and or staff.
“As the government continues to recognize the cannabis industry for the legitimate multi-billion dollar business that it is, regulations are understandably growing more complex; even seasoned operators are looking to maintain their competitive edge,” said Martin Kaufman, CEO of Grasshopper Kiosks. “And, in an era of Uber and Amazon Prime, consumer needs, now more than ever, center around custom ordering and convenience.”
Active delivery and distribution companies looking to significantly improve efficiencies at their distribution centers and driver dispatch hubs can utilize the Grasshopper Locker system. It allows dispatchers and inventory clerks to prep and place orders ahead of time into the lockers in an access controlled area at their facility, drivers can then retrieve their cargo using a unique employee code or access card, freeing their managers for other duties. This means a busy distribution hub can process more orders, quicker, more efficiently and in full compliance with the law.
Ron Christensen, Vice-President of Grasshopper Kiosks, added, “With adult use coming to California, dispensaries are rethinking their business models in order to compete and provide exemplary customer experiences. We’re excited to offer a full line of automated, self-service systems to the legal cannabis industry to help operators rise above their competition by streamlining their operations and improving their staff and clients experience. The Grasshopper Kiosk solutions not only work, they work very well.”
Grasshopper Kiosks are already in use inside popular dispensaries in the Bay Area, and have proven to be successful and convenient for both consumers and dispensaries. The company has increased production and is ready to ship units nationwide.
Grasshopper Kiosks will be showing their full line of systems at the National & California Cannabis Industry Association’s, CCIA & NCIA California Cannabis Business Conference, September 21-22 in Anaheim, booth #422.
