Chocolate Retailer Switches Point of Sale Solution
CHICAGO, October 2014 – Fannie May Fine Chocolates, a premium chocolates and confections manufacturer and retailer, has partnered with Givex, a global provider of stored value programs and cloud based payment services, to launch Vexilor in 79 U.S. retail locations.
Vexilor is the agile Point of Sale (POS) system that helps increase business efficiencies and drives sales. Operational efficiencies, embedded marketing and actionable data features combine to make Vexilor the optimal choice for business owners.
“We were very impressed with Vexilor as an enterprise system with multifaceted capabilities. It eliminates the need for multiple single-function programs. Instead we simply use Vexilor to manage various tasks, from measuring inventory levels to sales reporting,” said Joe Pititto, VP, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications of Fannie May Confections Brands, Inc.
Vexilor’s enterprise capabilities include inventory management that enables Fannie May to monitor raw materials required for its various recipes. This includes reporting on each location to determine the success of certain locations and target areas for improvement. The system also allows Fannie May to determine the popularity of products through grouping store items in easy to understand reports.
Vexilor is also Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) ready, meaning that it is able to process Chip and PIN payments, removing the hassle and cost for Fannie May of having to change or update their POS system for EMV readiness.
“The appeal of Vexilor for Fannie May was the powerful enterprise features that are considered extras by other POS systems,” said Mo Chaar, VP of Sales at Givex. “The Vexilor system also provides Fannie May with free 24/7 customer service and no-charge upgrades, distinguishing itself from competitors”.
