CPI Card Group Demonstrates Prepaid Leadership and Expertise at Card Forum & Expo 2017

Littleton, Colo. — (May 4, 2017) CPI Card Group (Nasdaq: PMTS, TSX: PMTS), a global leader in financial and EMV® chip card production and related services, today announced its participation at the Card Forum & Expo 2017, held May 8-10 in Austin, Texas. Attendees will be able to witness the Company’s payments leadership and vision as the event explores emerging trends, innovation and challenges within the prepaid industry.

“The continuing shift towards digital and mobile platforms for payments is significantly reshaping the potential for prepaid products, particularly as the conventional, static prepaid card can now function as an engagement point with end-users. This creates new avenues for branding and personalization efforts as organizations adapt to a transformed user experience for consumers and take advantage of newly available revenue opportunities,” said Peggy O’Leary, Prepaid Sales Director, CPI Card Group. “At CPI, we have continued to operate at the forefront of prepaid innovation, developing solutions that proactively anticipate and accommodate the changing landscape for our customers. We look forward to joining with other industry leaders during Card Forum to share our insights and experiences, and map what lies ahead for prepaid.”

O’Leary will join a roster of industry peers, experts and innovators to participate in the Prepaid Executive Summit, held on Monday, May 8, 1:00-3:30 p.m. CT. Specifically, she will be featured on a panel titled “The Future of Prepaid Innovation,” where she will share the stage with other prepaid specialists to discuss emerging transformations to traditional prepaid models, potential challenges posed by looming regulatory changes and the road ahead for mobile and digital wallets. O’Leary will also moderate an interactive breakout discussion group on Tuesday, May 9, 3:15-3:55 p.m. CT, exploring strategies to meet the needs of payments customers through physical and digital prepaid campaigns that leverage analytics-powered targeting to extend personalized offers.

CPI Card Group’s established thought leadership and expertise in the prepaid space is embodied within the solutions in its suite of products and services, which include Print-on-Demand, a prepaid solution to produce personalized and fully customized (card and carrier) payment cards on an on-demand basis, as well as the Company’s open-loop digital payment capabilities, which enable customization and instant digital delivery of open-loop payment cards. “Opening New Revenue Opportunities With Open-Loop Digital Gift Cards,” a white paper from CPI Card Group, expands on how the elevated consumer convenience afforded by digital open-loop payment cards can enable innovative, new revenue opportunities for financial institutions and prepaid program managers.
