DUMAC Expands Capabilities of its Point-of-Sale System With Two New Strategic Partnerships

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 13, 2017) – DUMAC Business Services, Inc., an industry leading point-of-sale (POS) hardware, software and services company, today announced new strategic partnerships with BRdata and Index for its RORCv6 POS system for independent grocers.

RORCv6 users can now integrate BRdata’s enterprise retail software solutions for digital couponing, promotional loyalty program management, cloud-based data reporting, e-commerce, and more. With Index, a retail software company that provides a hosted gateway and semi-integrated payment solution, RORCv6 customers have access to EMV with Quick Chip, point-to-point encryption (P2PE), processing flexibility, remote PIN pad management and more, to evolve their in-store payments. DUMAC is highlighting the two new partnerships in booth #1121 at the NGA Show in Las Vegas, today through February 14th.

“We understand that a one-size-fits-all model for managing and implementing various capabilities through a POS system doesn’t really work for independent grocers,” said Phil McCarthy, vice president, DUMAC Business Services, Inc. “In order to manage, market and grow their business, they need technology solutions developed specifically with their store’s needs in mind. That’s why we’re particularly excited about these new integrations with BRdata and Index. Independently-owned supermarkets now have more choices when it comes to the software and solutions they use to run their business operations.”

The RORCv6 integration with BRdata means that independent retailers will now have access to an extensive range of back-office software solutions and cloud capabilities at an affordable monthly cost, including:
BRdata Cloud: enables grocers to track financials, item movement, basket analysis, loyalty and competitive pricing
BRdata Connect: a branded consumer app that allows retailers to engage directly with consumers through a variety of features, such as recipes, targeted deals, store locator and push notifications
BRdata Collect: an e-commerce service that allows customers to order groceries online

“The open nature of RORCv6 makes it very easy to seamlessly integrate our solutions,” said John Abbene, president, BRdata. “We can now provide independent grocers with a wide range of cost-effective capabilities for maximizing their business operations, promotional programs, and customer engagement through a single system. Our partnership with DUMAC means that together, we can basically handle anything for independent grocers.”

Index provides retailers with innovative solutions in-store:
Index EMV: the fastest EMV experience in the United States takes 2.5 seconds or less — five times faster than traditional EMV. Pre-dip enables customers to dip their card anytime, even before total. Additionally, Index’s semi-integrated architecture eliminates retailer EMV certification.
Index P2PE with No Fees: industry-leading 2048-bit RSA (non-format-preserving) encryption, asymmetric keys and periodic key rotation secure in-store transactions from the moment of card use.
Index Semi-Integrated Payments: this future-proof architecture removes the point-of-sale (POS) from PCI scope, delivers a range of security benefits, and enables remote device management for easy payment feature and certification updates (ex. contactless, EMV).
Index Hosted Gateway: as a PCI Level 1 Gateway, this cloud-based, fault-tolerant solution requires no on-premise hardware and dramatically reduces compliance burdens. Index supports credit, debit, gift cards, EBT, eWIC and NFC (Apple Pay, Android Pay), so retailers can accept new and diverse forms of payment.

“We’re excited about this partnership with DUMAC,” said Moses Mederos, director of strategic partnerships, Index. “The integration between RORCv6 and Index enables us to deliver a transformative, enterprise-grade solution to independent grocers so they can easily evolve their business. We want to enable grocers to focus on their stores and their customers, not be burdened by the complexities and challenges of payment security and compliance.”
