DUMAC to Launch Redesigned User Screens for its RORCv6 Point-of-Sale System
New color themes and customization features will allow independent grocers to better match POS system to store brand
Las Vegas, Nevada (February 13, 2017) – DUMAC Business Services, Inc., an industry leading point-of-sale (POS) hardware, software and services company, today announced that it has redesigned the user screens of its RORCv6 POS system to include a more modern look. Independent grocers will now be able to choose from new color themes that best match their store décor package and even create a custom theme for their cashier user screens to match their overall store brand.
“Point of sale software shouldn’t determine how the front end of the store looks,” said Phil McCarthy, vice president, DUMAC Business Services, Inc. “In a perfect scenario, the POS software should be easy for the cashier to view and navigate, but should also blend into the background. We don’t feel like our brand should dominate the theme. At the end of the day, it’s more important to us that the screens reflect the look of the store. We aren’t trying to create brand awareness with shoppers, we simply want our RORCv6 users to tell other store owners how much they love our software.”
Not only will grocers now have the option to select a variety of different color themes, but the pre-packaged sets in RORCv6 make them incredibly easy to implement. In addition to these pre-packaged sets, users will have the option to create a custom theme, develop their own buttons or even add images for buttons, such as a slice of pizza for a store that has a food counter.
DUMAC will be debuting the new “standard” color set at booth #1121 the NGA Show, today through February 14th. Any retailers who order the RORCv6 POS system today will have these features available by the time of their software install.
“We made this decision based on feedback from our retail partners,” said McCarthy. “Our number one priority is to listen to our customers and develop software solutions that will help them better manage their businesses. This redesign is just one of the ways we’re trying to help independent grocers thrive.”
