Lavu Certifies Three Epson Wireless Receipt Printers for its Restaurant Management System
LONG BEACH, Calif., Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, today announced that Lavu, a leading mobile POS restaurant management system provider, has certified Epson’s Mobilink™ P80, Mobilink P20, and Mobilink P60II mobile wireless receipt printers for faster and more reliable food and drink service. Epson’s printers give Lavu’s restaurant and bar customers access to mobile printer solutions enabling line busting at events, allowing servers to print receipts tableside, and more. The joint solutions are available from Lavu today.
According to a National Restaurant Association report “Restaurant Industry 2020: A Snapshot of the Future,” industry competition will continue to intensify in the years ahead, and operators will have to focus on offering elevated levels of food and service in tandem with technological enhancements. The integration of Lavu with Epson’s compact wireless printers is a prime example of recognizing this need and enabling improved service incorporating the latest technology advancements.
“We are really excited to take this next step in our partnership with Epson,” said Steve Brown, director of sales at Lavu. “Epson’s flexible and highly customizable KDS solutions and the ultra compact wireless and mobile Mobilink printers allow us to offer our customers endless possibilities.”
Lavu has integrated the Mobilink printers with the previously certified Epson Kitchen Display
Systems (KDS) with built-in printers. Perfect for small, quick serve restaurants (QSRs), Epson’s KDS controller drives a customer’s kitchen display and provides a printing solution to the workflow.
The fully integrated solutions enable fast and accurate tableside ordering with fewer servers. Servers can handle more tables in a shift, so they’ll make more tips, and customers have a smoother service experience. In turn, restaurants can serve more customers and grow their bottom line.
“Lavu continues to be a pioneer in the industry and is constantly upgrading and adding new features as technology changes and the needs of customers change with it,” said Tom Kettell, director, commercial channel sales at Epson. “Our receipt printers, bundled with Lavu’s innovative iPad POS, give restaurants a reliable mobile solution leading to improved restaurant management.”
