Conceived by Lightspeed Founder & CEO Dax Dasilva, Never Apart is a non-profit organization that brings communities together for social change through arts and culture. The ‘Colour by Icons’ project features and celebrates queer historical icons, and attendees at FYF Fest will have the opportunity to color in pages of the coloring book.

The partnership with Plus One is an alignment of missions, creating a strong connection between a technology company and two cultural organizations, with the common goal of promoting inclusivity among all groups. Plus One was founded with the mission of empowering artists to be at the forefront of change and a focus on building a fundraising community through music, education and creative outreach.

Never Apart’s ‘Colour by Icons’ initiative is close to the heart of tech leader Dasilva, as he plays an active role in the LGBT community. Dasilva attributes Never Apart’s first anniversary success to bringing the tech startup mentality to running a non-profit. The same strategies that have solidified Lightspeed as an industry leader have been injected into Never Apart’s DNA, providing the organization with the entrepreneurial edge needed to fulfill its mission and share it with the world.

Lightspeed’s seamless transactions for online POS have the power to revolutionize charitable sales initiatives. The omnichannel technology streamlines purchase processing and empowers retailers to enhance in-store and online transactions. Lightspeed currently powers over 38,000 customers and manages $14 billion in global transactions across 100 countries.

About Plus One

Plus One was born from the belief that harnessing and directing the energy of a passionate audience and fan-base can be a powerful change agent. The idea is simple: performing artists partner with Plus One to add $1 to each of their concert tickets to go to a recipient organization. Plus One then works with the tour to engage and activate the artist’s audience about the cause through presence at shows along with long-term outreach that lets fans know the impact the Plus One dollars are making. Through its partnerships with bands such as Arcade Fire, The National, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Plus One drives dollars and builds new communities of support for organizations tackling some of today’s most important issues.
