Charlotte, N. C. | September 29, 2016- The Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA), the only association dedicated to the point of sale technology industry, announced today that registration for its premiere annual thought leadership forum, INSPIRE 2017 has opened. The event will take place in St. Kitts, West Indies from January 29- February 1 at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. This year’s event sponsors are Cayan, Epson, Future POS, Star, Vantiv/Integrated Payments and Worldpay.
Keynoting the event will be the authors of the business bestseller, Roadside MBA: Back Road Lessons for Entrepreneurs, Executives, and Small Business Owners, Michael Mazzeo, Paul Oyer, and Scott Schaefer, all of whom earned PhDs from Stanford University, will deliver education for attendees in a workshop format, with a particular emphasis on helping the small business owners, entrepreneurs, and C-suite leadership within the point of sale industry exchange ideas and extract wisdom from their own varied business experiences. The Roadside MBA team will bring their teaching expertise from their current positions as professors at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (Mazzeo), Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business (Oyer), and University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business (Schaefer) to the INSPIRE event.
“INSPIRE provides the time and space for Point of Sale and retail technology leaders to think through issues that affect their businesses daily,” said RSPA President and CEO Kelly Funk. “The learning spurs discussion, and those discussions facilitate collaboration; it’s an environment that remains completely unique in our industry.”
In addition to the best in class education at the event, INSPIRE 2017 features numerous networking opportunities. Scheduled activities include a group excursion, based on the concept behind the competitive reality adventure show, The Amazing Race, and a private group dinner at one of St. Kitts’ most scenic attractions, Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, all enabling attendees to have substantive conversations while enjoying the sights of the host island.
