ScanSource Networking Enters In Agreement With HP Enterprise To Expand Offerings

GREENVILLE, SC – ScanSource Networking and Security, a leading global provider of physical security products and networking solutions, and a business unit of ScanSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCSC), announced today that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). By becoming a US Distribution Partner, ScanSource will be able to offer customers an expanded portfolio of networking solutions, including leading wired, wireless, campus, and data center networking solutions, routing and switching, along with network management and security all of which are operated by Aruba following its acquisition by HPE.

“We are excited to expand our networking capabilities at ScanSource by joining the HPE Distribution Network,” said Christie Hamberis, senior vice president of ScanSource Networking and Security. “We have had a long-standing, successful relationship with Aruba and this new agreement with HPE will allow us to expand our portfolio of hardware and services with additional solutions that complement the products we currently sell, enabling us to deliver an even broader set of leading-edge networking solutions to our reseller partners.”

As a result of this agreement, all of ScanSource’s US business units will have access to a full line of innovative routing and switching products from HPE Aruba that complement the security cameras, point-of-sale systems, unified communications products and other IP devices that ScanSource has been known for, and resellers will be able to provide a complete solution from the networking closet to the end device. All of this builds upon ScanSource Networking and Security’s value-added services offering, including sales and technical support, configuration services, education and training, which enables resellers to enhance their support to their end-user customers.

“This new agreement reflects ScanSource’s demonstrated commitment to enabling reseller success,” said Jim Harold, vice president of channels for Aruba. “With it, ScanSource will be able to deliver an even broader set of leading-edge networking solutions to its customers, and we are looking forward to continuing our work with them to meet reseller needs.”

ScanSource also has a strong relationship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Brazil, and was recently honored with awards for Distributor of the Year in server volume for HPE and Outstanding Value Distributor.
