SICOM Acquires FingerPrints Point of Sale System from Posera Ltd.

(TSX: PAY), a leading provider of mission critical software solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced the acquisition by SICOM of the FingerPrints point of sale (POS) system and related assets from Posera. The FingerPrints POS system was specifically designed for the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry. The acquisition further strengthens SICOM’s domain expertise and commitment to adding greater value to the QSR industry, and more specifically to deepening its value in QSR across Canada. The divestiture by Posera enables it to strengthen its strategic focus on its core products: Maitre’D® POS, KDS (Kitchen Display System), and SecureTablePay® pay-at-the-table solution.

FingerPrints was launched in 2004 and currently operates in many leading QSR locations across Canada. Complemented by the Hypervision and Hyperscheduler offerings, FingerPrints enjoys an intuitive user interface and fully redundant system with integrated payment, EMV, loyalty and gift card capabilities as well as centralized menu and pricing programming, together with enabled mobile ordering.
