SUBWAY(R) Restaurant Chain Selects Paydiant to Power Mobile Wallet

WELLESLEY, MA–(Marketwired – Oct 3, 2013) – Paydiant[1], provider of a mobile payments, offer redemption and loyalty platform for retailers and banks, today announced that it has been selected by the SUBWAY® restaurant chain, the world’s largest restaurant brand, to power a variety of mobile wallet capabilities, including mobile payment, in the upcoming release of the chain’s new mobile application. The solution will begin rolling out to stores later this year.

Paydiant’s cloud-based, white-label approach to the mobile wallet lets retailers add state of the art mobile payments, offers, loyalty and other capabilities into their own mobile apps. This allows restaurateurs and other retailers leverage the mobile channel to deliver a superior customer experience that builds loyalty, enhances their brand and protects valuable customer data.

The platform also provides retailers with the fastest and most cost-effective approach to delivering mobile wallet capabilities. Unlike other mobile wallet solutions that require consumers to buy new phones or retailers to invest in costly new point-of-sale (POS) infrastructure, Paydiant’s white label platform works with existing smartphones, and integrates directly into existing POS systems.

“Paydiant offers the mobile platform that makes the most sense for our franchisees and our customers,” said Carman Wenkoff, Chief Information Officer for the SUBWAY® restaurant chain. “Their mobile capabilities will be a key factor towards providing our customers with innovative services and an exceptional experience.”

“We’re honored to be working with one of the world’s best known brands, on their mobile commerce and mobile marketing strategy,” said Chris Gardner, co-founder of Paydiant. “Subway understands that mobile represents a unique opportunity to enhance customer loyalty, while delivering convenience, personalized service and great food to their guests.”
