The Future of Retail: Personalized, Point of Purchase Display

Delivers guided customer experience, live video chat with customer service representatives and lifetime commissions for retailers

Ketchum, ID, April 26, 2016 – Pioneering clothing company SCOTTeVEST (SeV), which forever changed the conversation about pockets more than 15 years ago, today announces the development of a revolutionary new Point of Purchase (PoP) display that uses personalized videos and biometric scanners to create a guided shopping experience, where customers can also speak with customer service representatives via live video chat.

When live, the PoP detects when a customer approaches, activates a video tailored to each location/store, greets them, then uses biometric scanners to estimate their correct size and guides them through the SeV catalog. Once the customer tries on a garment they can scan the tag for a video rundown showcasing all the cool features. If they have questions, the PoP will open a live video chat with a SeV customer service member to assist. Once a garment is selected, a QR code appears which they can scan to complete the purchase on their phone or through the kiosk via Apple Pay, PayPal, Android Wallet, etc.

“The new PoP delivers a revolutionary, innovative and bespoke customer experience. It also eliminates the need for retailers to stock tons of inventory and can be installed at any store, and work as ‘pop up shops’ in airports or other high traffic areas. Just like an affiliate program, the PoP allows retailers to get commissions on all sales that originate in their store. Even if customers do not purchase a garment through the PoP, if they push “like” with the built-in Facebook beacon it allows SeV to track the customer’s future purchases and lock in the commission for the retailer,” said Scott. “This is truly the best of both worlds, a hands-on truly awesome product experience plus online fulfillment–never lose a sale if an item is locally out of stock!”

SCOTTeVEST will fulfill PoP orders through Amazon.com, so if the consumer is a Prime member they will get their shipment in two days; or if located in an area where Prime Now is available, two hours.

SeV is in negotiations with retailers to bring the PoP to market, starting with an airport store targeted for Q3 2016.
