TRANSACT Keynotes to Focus on How Payments Technology is Transforming Commerce

April 3, 2018 – WASHINGTON, D.C. –  The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) announced new keynote sessions for TRANSACT, the premier payments technology event, that will address critical topics facing the industry: the role of blockchain in payments, the growing importance of software partnerships in POS products, and long-term business strategies for legacy processors and ISOs. The sessions at TRANSACT will take place April 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on the Trustwave Keynote Stage.

Osama Bedier, Founder and CEO of Poynt and Irv Henderson, CEO and Co-founder of talech will join Jason Oxman, CEO of ETA for a fireside chat about how innovations in integrated software are revolutionizing merchant payments during the session The New POS: Partnership and Possibilities, Wednesday, April 18 at 8:40 am. 

Jessica Turner of Mastercard will join Garrett Goff of Netflix to discuss how emerging technologies are enabling safer online commerce in the keynote session Driving Secure Ecommerce: Market Growth and Consumer Ease, Wednesday, April 18 at 8:55 am.

Payments companies are nimbly adapting to new technology and opportunities to seize the future of payments. Processors, ISOs and manufactures who embrace innovation are finding new partners, products and solutions for their merchant customers. Executives from three of the most important segments of the payments industry will provide insight on how to thrive in this ever-evolving space. With all eyes focused on the expansion of blockchain – Emi Yoshikawa of Ripple, Dave Birch of Consult Hyperion, and Guillaume Lebleu of First Data will take the keynote stage on Thursday, April 19 at 9:30 for Blockchain and Distributed Ledger: Strategic Opportunities to Consider. This keynote discussion will focus on use of blockchain and distributed ledger technology to streamline and modernize the acquiring channel.
