TrueCommerce Announces eStore Integration

New solution enables retailers to deliver omnichannel storefront orders through its commerce network

MINNEAPOLIS (May 16, 2016)—TrueCommerce, a HighJump company and a global provider of trading partner connectivity and integration solutions, has announced the integration of the Nexternal Omnichannel Commerce Platform into the TrueCommerce Global Commerce Network. The new offering allows suppliers and retailers to route orders placed using Nexternal’s online shopping solutions (web/mobile/tablet) through the network to a variety of destinations, including TrueCommerce’s extensive list of integrated ERP solutions.

“TrueCommerce eStore Integration fills a crucial gap in the eCommerce ecosystem,” says Nick Manolis, TrueCommerce President. “Online orders can now be automatically converted and processed with the speed and accuracy required by the challenging standards imposed by the new demands of omnichannel. Essentially, EDI and eCommerce morph into one commerce network.”

The TrueCommerce eStore Integration gives merchants using Nexternal, a leading cloud-based eCommerce platform provider acquired by HighJump in 2015, access to the extensive resources available to members of the TrueCommerce community.  Chief among those resources are the deep integration to ERP systems from leading publishers like Intuit, Microsoft, NetSuite, Sage, SAP and others.

“We realize that not all of our client’s customers have EDI systems in place,” explains Alex Gile, senior vice president of HighJump. “For example, a clothing brand might use EDI for transacting with big box retailers. However, that same business may also have hundreds of boutique shops that carry their brand. Many of those boutique shops aren’t going to have EDI systems, but they do have computers or mobile devices with internet access.  They can now log in to a B2B online portal to place those orders.  With this integration, they all land in the clothing brand’s vendor ERP system regardless of how they are placed.  It is a beautiful thing.”

The new TrueCommerce eStore Integration benefits include:

  • Quicker communication across the supply chain, improved customer satisfaction and competitive edge through faster order fulfillment
  • Reduced IT complexity and ownership cost
  • Real-time order management and drop-shipping support
  • Amazon Seller Central integration that eliminates manual processing of Amazon-originated orders

“Adoption of the Nexternal platform helped us optimize our whole eCommerce process, significantly improving customer experience and increasing online sales,” says Adrienne Kerrigan, wholesale marketing coordinator with Caffe Ladro, a pioneer of sustainably and ethically produced coffee based in Seattle, Wash.. “Integration with TrueCommerce EDI will help us further improve order fulfillment speed and accuracy by directly connecting customers with QuickBooks.”

Whether the Nexternal merchant focuses on B2C, B2B or both, this initiative gives them all the tools necessary to run a successful end to end omnichannel business eliminating manual order processing, linking customers, retailers and suppliers in one agile commerce network.

“Fast communication and real-time order management information are becoming essential within the supply chain,” says Chris Cunnane, senior analyst, ARC Advisory Group. “From a supplier standpoint, there is a need to understand what, where, and when merchandise needs to be delivered, whether that is to the store or direct to the consumer. For retailers, there is a need for real-time order management information to ensure high customer service levels. Faster communication is a key component to making this happen.”
