U-Vend, Inc. Opens Fourth Corporate Depot to Service Expansion Into Canada

New Facility to Support NHL® Partnership, Product Distribution and Digital Advertising Operations

SANTA MONICA, CA–(Marketwired – Jan 26, 2016) – U-Vend, Inc.[1] (OTCQB: UVND[2]) (the “Company”), a consumer products and technology company that develops, distributes and markets next-generation self-serve electronic kiosks in a variety of retail environments across North America, announced that the Company has opened a custom kiosk and product supply depot located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, just outside of Toronto. The Canadian location is U-Vend’s fourth depot, the first outside of the U.S., joining existing facilities located in Chicago, IL and Orange, CA and Las Vegas, NV.

U-Vend’s new Canadian depot will provide approximately 1,000-square feet of operating office space, 2,000-square feet of warehouse space, and will primarily service the greater 12.1 million populated Southern Ontario market. The depot will also serve as the main offices for U-Vend’s North American digital advertising operations.

In addition, the Oakville-based location will support U-Vend’s previously announced licensing partnership with the NHL®, as the Company will soon be launching its Frozen Pond Premium Ice Cream[3]™ product in the Canadian market. Beginning this spring, fans will be able to purchase the ice cream bars featuring NHL-branded “Collector Hockey Sticks” at the Company’s self-serve kiosks, merchandisers and countertop freezers, which will be located in high-traffic, consumer venues throughout the Toronto and Southern Ontario regions.

“We are very excited with the opening of our Canadian depot as we prepare not only to introduce Frozen Pond Premium Ice Cream™, our initial sport-themed ice cream product, but also as we begin building the infrastructure of our digital advertising operations that will integrate with our self-serve kiosks and merchandisers,” stated Paul Neelin, COO of U-Vend, Inc.

“The addition of our fourth product distribution depot is yet another key development, in a series of events, that will facilitate our strategic entry into the multi-billion dollar North American ice cream market,” stated Raymond Meyers, CEO of U-Vend, Inc. “We are excited to be entering the Canadian market with a licensing agreement with the NHL, and look forward to bringing hockey fans across Canada our Frozen Pond Premium products,” added Meyers.
